My greatgrandmother Sidónia Faixová, b. Dugovičová is named after Countess Sidonia Palffy, which she has in genealogy as comes from Counts of Esterházy and Counts of Apponyi. She was paralel genealogy with Countess Geraldine Apponyi, wife of King Zogu of Albany, about Geraldine and Zogu, I will write later on paternal side as this is maternal side, from the same close ancestor and also looking similar and I will write also about Counts of Apponyi again. Sidonia comes from Count Sándor or Alexander of Apponyi de Nagyappony and Counts of Esterházy de Galantha. Her mother Frantiska Pešková (Pésko) was Countess of Apponyi de Nagyappony. Dugovič comes from famous Titus Dugovič about which was held in family very old aristocratic book, beautifully decorated and of noble design. She lived in Bratislava, but after bombarding of Bratislava moved to Senkvice, where she had Red Cross and helped during World War II., more will futher about this. My greatgrandmother Sidonia Faixova is on photo with her sister Veronika having First holy communion. Greatgrandmother Sidonia was very skillful and clever and religious woman. She prayed daily at many places. When she was old I saw her that visited chapel of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows in Senkvice, prayed at home in chapel made from flat of Veronika, where were sculptures of Mary and Jesus and she embroidered on altars madeira, 6 metres long clothes. She embroidered also for Tereshkovova. About her are written also blogs or videos, which you can see in other parts. Sidonia was Roman Catolic religion and very religious woman. I loved Sidonia very much and she educated me in many things, in religions and embroidering and many other things. I slept with her as the child on one bed and daily heard her and her advices.
