Grandfather and chess
Prof. Ing. Miloslav Bartoš
Prof. Ing. Miloslav Bartoš, (*29. May 1924 - +3. March 2014) was chessplayer and trainer of chess of Chemical secondary school in Bratislava and lead many chessplayers and they won in Mastership of Slovakia in Martin, many years they won first place under his leading.
He studied 4 Universities, parts and several Secondary schools and chose what he can do as he had children disease and could not do medical doctor, surgeon or other occupation, but he studied on 4 Universities. He finished University in Brno and married my greatgrandmother Zdeňka Bartošová b. Halámková. They lived in Warnsdorf, Studánka, then for example in Castle Chroustovice, near Pardubice, then he worked as director and founder of Secondary school of Refridgerator, Calex, Zlaté Moravce. After death of his father, he had to move to Modra to take care for garden and lived in several places also his house between Modra and Harmonia, but some time also in Jewish school, near Synagogue in Modra, where lived three families and then in other time as the house of his ancestors were several, but one was destructed and photo is among photos, was where is parkplace near Hospital in Modra. After arrival to Modra granfather worked in Chemical secondary school in Bratislava and many years also trained chessplayers, from them is today famous Slovak chessplayer GM Ftáčnik, who played sometimes for their team. Grandfather Miloslav Bartoš was originaly evangelic religion and also his ancestors, but he worked years from times he was in Bohemia and knew several protestant churches, also Army of Salvation, he worked for church Kresťanské zbory and was their evangelist. From his grandchildren two are racing and knows chessplayers, one from them am I, Eva Bartošová.
