My own grandfather still was a highlander but my father was born in
Záhora (Polish Zagórze) near Będzin in Upper Silesia's Polish part.
So the circle closes - both families were related to
Władysław I Łoktek (Łokietek):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Władysław_I_the_Elbow-high
Felicjan Záh - Árpád's, Łokietek's, Csak's and probably Ábá's supporter
Klara Záh - Łokietek's maid and his daughters Elżbieta's (Erzsébet) friend
Pernus of Pyrna - 1289 founder of the Spyra clan, Łokietek's friend since ca. 1270
Even more - the Záh clan has relatives among the Árpád's (Polish: Kaszka)
both came among 108 Hungarian clans from the regions of Volga river,
where they already lived with east Slavic tribes but were invaded by both
- the Varangians and the Khazars.
The Piast and Árpád dynasties had also relatives among Greek emperors of the
Byzantine Empire, so Your statements about ancestors in the Holy Land,
which is not so far, seem true !
Other informations about Zach surname Zach - Zah - Zahorie - Zahorje - Zahora - Zagorje:
Zahorie is also in Slovakia, great part of Slovakia. But here are more hypotesis to this surname and mysteries I found. Also historical matters of this famous and powerful family. They are in research. Famous is also aristocratic family Zichy.
Zach is Zah from Záhora, Zagorje, Zahorje, Загорье, Загір'я, Zagórze, Záhorie... Looks to be very old family perhaps related to Zars as this proves Russian ownership of all Slavic countries. These all countries had also names in the past as parts of Russia and historical names, which are not known to all historicians, only to those who had luck, but those names are known for each Slavic country as it was Rus, Kiev Rus, Silver Rus, Small Rus, Mala Rus, Malicka Rus, Strieborna Rus, Perunova Rus etc.
